 MY TEACHING PERSONA

I have been thinking of the kind of teacher I want to be  as  I am a person who staggers or stammers and talks faster ,will my learners be able to hear me when I speak or it is going to be a challenge that I will need to overcome . The best way to deal with is to be a teacher who guides learning unlike a teacher who is a lecturer .Teachers who help guide the learning process are known as facilitators. I would love to be an educator who facilitates and promotes self-learning, helping students develop critical thinking skills and retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization. Facilitators make students think. Teachers who use this model frequently ask questions instead of providing answers. This method helps students develop skills to find answers and solutions through exploration, and is ideal for teaching science and similar subjects. I am a person who likes talking and always wants to hear other people’s opinions and usually builds and learners from people’s ideas, I also want my students to learn this way.  This type of teaching is very time-consuming. Teachers must prompt students toward discovery rather than lecturing facts and testing knowledge through memorization.  

I want to be an educator who will bring the outside world into the classroom keep up with what’s going on in the world, and focus on topics that will be of interest to my students. That could mean keeping up with the real world like talking about latest gadgets and devices in CAT and finding topics that are relevant to your students’ lives to make it easier to relate to them. As a person who likes to be updated with what is happening in the world, what is trending and not it will be easier for me to implement this in the classroom. I’m a person with a good sense of humor ,in future I would like to bring this in the classroom this will help the learners to relax brings energy , enthusiasm in the classroom and it reengages the learners

I hate it when people discriminate or favor other people because of certain things, I want to be a professional educator who will encourage fairness in the classroom so that no learner feels inferior to the other this way effective learning can take place .I’m a very clean and organized person  as an  upcoming educator I would love the learning environment my classroom to be clean and conducive for learning . Being an organized person , I would like to be an educator who plans for her lessons  prior to the lesson this will help me as a novice teacher to study the content and make research so that I do not make a fool out of myself in front of the students .I am not a strict person , I’m very friendly but  I don’t like people to take advantage of  this ,with this characteristic  it will help me as an educator to become a approachable teacher that learners will be to approach and engage with .
